The Buffalo State Alumni Association will host the 17th annual Bengal 5K Scholarship Run, Sunday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m. during Homecoming and Family Weekend.
The USA Track and Field certified course starts and finishes in front of the Sports Arena, taking runners across the Buffalo State campus.
Those wishing to participate are encouraged to register online in advance. Early registration closes Wednesday, September 17, at 5:00 p.m. and reopens on the day of the race at 8:30 a.m. The fee for individual participants is $20 before September 17 and $25 on the day of the race.
Walkers are also welcome.
A post-race party will feature food and beverage from Lloyd Taco Truck; music; and awards for overall male and female winner, top 3 finishers in each male and female age group, and first place male and female alumni winner.
Proceeds benefit the Alumni Association’s Legacy Scholarship and Military Service Scholarship funds. The Legacy Scholarship Fund is awarded to a student who is the child or grandchild of a Buffalo State graduate, while the Military Scholarship Fund is presented to a student who is currently serving or has prior service in any branch of the United States military.
