Buffalo State’s Student Philanthropy Council (SPC) has produced a video giving thanks to the college’s donors in celebration of National Philanthropy Day, November 15.
SPC is a socially-minded group striving to build awareness about the importance of philanthropy and its influence on the welfare of our campus community. The group's main goal is to improve student engagement and grow the number of individuals working towards a better Buffalo State.
"I have a big dream of being a little philanthropist," said senior SPC member Eric Gersbacher. "Effective giving does not always come from big purses. Doing something worthwhile does not always have to cost a lot of money."
Every gift is valued; it is not the amount that matters, but the collective power it has to change lives and the future of Buffalo State. The video lets donors past, present, and future know how much their support is appreciated.
"Students were enthusiastic and very willing to thank the donors who contribute to Buffalo State," said SPC member and senior hospitality major Brittany Mobley. "It was exciting to get student groups involved."
